The AGA Range
More suited to our modern lives, on when you need it, off when you don’t. Each oven and hotplates are independently controlled with fast heat times to be more flexible around our lives. Two for dinner tonight – use the “one oven wonder” method. People in at different times – this is where the warming oven comes into it’s own, everyone round for Sunday Lunch – all ovens on for the perfect succulent roasts and crispy potatoes. Sounds like what your family is looking for? Take a look at the AGA eR7 or eR3 for more information.
More in line with a traditional AGA, the R Series is designed to be always on, ready to cook when you are but with added temperature settings and energy saving functions to help you manage cost as well as heat output in the room. For those looking for a cosy kitchen with the added extras that come with an always on AGA consider the AGA R7 or R3.
Classic AGA look with premium features. All models have cast iron set temperature main ovens with added settings plus independently controlled separate boiling and simmering plates. Traditional AGA size ovens but worktop height so you can easily upgrade an existing AGA and no need for additional plinth. Choose between radiant R7 or everyday radiant eR7.
Brings you the traditional cast iron ovens AGA are famous for combined with modern conventional cooking and technology. A more modern look with rotary controls (rather than behind a door) mean that all areas are fully utilised, and the slightly smaller size means the 3 series fits more easily into standard kitchens. Take a look at the R3 or eR3.
Products
Managing energy consumption, heat output and money.
Modern electric AGA cookers come with a whole host of features to help you to stay in control of the energy you use.
Independently Controlled Hotplates – on all models dramatically reduce heat loss from the tops of the ovens, especially compared to a traditional AGA using the 80/20 rule (80% of cooking in the ovens vs 20% on tops).
Energy saving modes – the slumber mode on the R7 and eco mode on R3 enable you to reduce energy consumption while keeping your AGA in “standby” and retaining a gentle heat into the kitchen. Use overnight, if you’re out for the day or you have a weekend away.
Fast Heat Up Times – The fast heat up times of the independently controlled ovens eR3 and eR7 mean you only turn on exactly what you need, when you need it.
Programmer – Time your eR3 or eR7 to come on and off so it is ready when you are and you don’t have to worry about remembering to turn it off!
Installation and servicing – Compare to gas and oil models there is much less involved in preparing your kitchen/home before installation and there are no ongoing servicing costs.
Turn off – Away on holiday? You can turn off your AGA while you are away with considerable faster heat up times compared to traditional AGA cookers. With the combination of cast iron and conventional cooking in the three series or module you can turn off the cast iron during the (couple of) tropical summer days we have here in the UK and just use the induction, grill or fan oven. With the fast heat up times there are likely to be more occasions to turn off your AGA too.
Control – The new innovative features of the electric AGA cookers put you in control of your energy usage and therefore cost.
The AGA Living website has a great resource that breaks down the kW per hour, approximate cost and heat output in the kitchen for each model by oven and hotplates as well as a 7 day menu.
The overall running costs will depend on your chosen model, how you use it, your provider and rate as well as any alternative source you may have such as solar panels or heat pump (check out our heating page if you’re interested in finding out more!)
